"Even the best of politicians have to compromise sometimes."A plan is hatched to allow Joseph Rearden (Paul Newman), a member of British Intelligence, to infiltrate a spy ring and find a traitor. In order to do so, Rearden is imprisoned, and subsequently joins up with Slade (Ian Bannen) in an escape. But can he keep up his cover long enough to expose the quisling.
Lackluster spy thriller, that never sparks into life.
