something evil (1972)

"Can you believe that I believe that the devil's in my house?"
A family move to a rural farm, and start to suffer torment at the hands of a demonic presence.
Made for TV ghost story, which shows some of his developing flare for direction, and in which he even makes a cameo appearance.

20.6.12

the adventures of tin tin (2011)

"How's your thirst for adventure?"
Tin Tin (Jamie Bell) gets involved int finding Red Rackham's treasure. The lost treasure of an infamous 17th Century pirate. But he is not the only person on the trail.
A live action film, with computer generated performance capture, which makes the film a composite, which replicates the comics, but also puts everything at a distance from the characters and the story.

24.9.11

war of the worlds (2005)

"We're under attack!"
Everyday working joe, Ray Ferrier (Tom Cruise) struggles to keep his family together, especially when earth gets invaded by aliens!
Despite all the CGI and modern day tweeks to the story, (like the addition of a disfunctional family with annoying kids), this is still no match for the 50's original.

21.6.11

minority report (2002)

"You have a choice."
In 2054 the pre-crime unit uses pre-cogs (three humans who can predict murders), to prevent homicides occuring and convict people, before they get a chance to kill. Then one officer, John Anderton (Tom Cruise) is accused of a pre-murder. Is it possible that the pre-crime unit is not as infalable as it says it is?
Intelligent drama, that provides a few twists along the way to keep the ride interesting.
