i was a teenage frankenstein (1957)

"In this laboratory there is no death until I declare it so."
Professor Frankenstein (Whit Bissell) is an English scientist brought to the USA. He dreams of creating life from death and the reactivation of human tissue. So when the chance comes to steal the body of a dead athlete, he takes it. With his skills he builds his monster (Gary Conway), which turns out to have a body builders physique, but the face of a bulldog chewing a wasp! The monster obviously is concerned about his looks and the professor is able to manipulate him by promising him a new face if he does his bidding.
B movie schlock of the highest order, low on budget, high on suspended disbelief. Like how the hell did he get an aligator pit built under a suburban house?

the crawling hand (1963)

AKA Don't Cry Wolf. The Creeping Hand.
"I am not out of my mind."
A space capsule is blown up whilst in orbit and a teenager Paul Lawrence (Rod Lauren) finds some wreckage and a severed arm. Unfortunately the arm seems to have a life of it's own and takes over Pauls mind in order to kill.
Indifferent acting, cheap sets and extremely flawed logic do nothing to stop the enjoyment of this sci-fi romp.
Sure it's bad, but it's good bad. Why it even features "The Bird's The Word" by The Rivingtons which is always a plus point!

blood of dracula (1957)

aka Blood Is My Heritage. Blood of the Demon.
"There's a power greater than science that rules the earth."

Nancy (Sandra Harrison), a rebel, is shuffled off to boarding school when her father re-marries. At the school she falls pray to science teacher Miss Branding (Louise Lewis), who experiments on her with regression therapy and hypnosis. Following a series of murders the police get involved, but only local doctor Mike (Paul Maxwell) seems to realise that a vampire is on the prowl.

Typical exploitation fare, it promises Dracula and blood and delivers neither! What it does deliver is a rock n roll musical number, some half-hearted acting and a bizarrely made up vampire. And there you have it, a true b-movie, and a particularly pedestrian one at that.

gog (1954)

A top secret government laboratory is experiencing lots of mysterious and unexplainable accidents. An agent from the Office of Scientific Investigation is called in to investigate the deaths and whether deliberate sabotage of NOVAC, a mainframe computer which controls all equipment in the underground facility is taking place.
Post war paranoid angst rules in this film that throws nuclear power, computers, Russian sabotage and robots running amok into the mix. An interesting curio from the period of commie terror, all rendered in 3-D!
