1.9.13

grave of the vampire (1972)

aka Seed of Terror.
"My mother found it difficult to tell me that I wasn't like other children..."
A woman is raped by an ancient and vicious vampire, Croft (Michael Pataki). She subsequently bears a child, James (William Smith), who can only survive by drinking blood. He grows up to be a reserved adult intent on wreaking his revenge on his vampire-father for creating him in his image.
Cheap horror flick, with an interesting premise, that suffers from pacing, and is thus ildly diverting, but with a terrible ending.

3.2.12

end of the world (1977)

"We did the best we could."
A scientist intercepts doomladen messages to aliens, and tracks them down to a convent run by priest (Christopher Lee), who turns out to be an alien impersonating the real priest.
A film where a whole lot of nothing happens...and what does is ploddingly slow! Sometimes life is just too short!
