The only reason to watch this is for Amanda Lears songs, and they aren't even that good!

death smiles on a murderer (1973)

aka La morte ha sorriso all'assassino. Death Smiled at Murder.
"They killed you and I didn't do anything to stop them."
A disturbed man (Luciano Rossi) mourns the death of his sister (Ewa Aulin). We then see a coach crash, involving the woman which leads to her losing her memory. She is taken in by a wealthy man (Sergio Doria) and his wife (Angela Bo) to convalesce. They both fall in love with her, but the wife is the jealous type. Meanwhile the family Dr (Klaus Kinski) has developed a formula to restore life to dead people...
What starts out as a psychological thriller, morphs into a Poe-esque horror with a convoluted plot involving incest, reanimation of the dead, and revenge that keeps you guessing as to what the hell is going on!

antropophagus (1980)

aka Anthropophagous: The Beast.
"It's like a nightmare. What could have happened?"
Some friends are touring the Greek islands and arrive at one where everyone of the inhabitants seem to have disappeared. Unfortunately for them its due to an insane killer, intent on thinning out the population.
One of the original video nasties, this is a very basic stalk and slash, which has little plot and leaves little to the imagination, but this is probably its strength. What you see is what you get, long bouts of nothingness, followed by shocking gore.

emanuelle's revenge (1975)

"Why does love bring so much pain, so much hatred?"
Françoise (Patrizia Gori) commits suicide after suffering years of abuse at the hands of her husband, Carlo (George Eastman). Her sister Emanuelle (Rose Marie Lindt) only finds this out at the inquest and sets out to avenge her. The obvious solution is to toy with him before chaining him up in her house and forcing him to watch her having sex!
Shot through with those exploitation essentials, a funky soundtrack, (courtesy of Gianni Marchetti), bright and breezy visuals, and themes of depravity, obsession and revenge. This unerotic thriller also flirts with Giallo as much as with Sexploitation.

caligula II: the untold story (1981)

aka Caligula: The Untold Story.
"Let me listen to my god, who speaks of vengeance."
A version of the Caligula story, where a young woman (Laura Gemser) inveigles her way into Caligula's court and his arms in an attempt to get close enough to assassinate the emperor (David Brandon). In doing so she gets to witness his debauched lifestyle.
This throws all the excess it can at the screen, the only thing it lacks is a real plot, and any sense of historical accuracy.

erotic nights of the living dead (1980)

"Take the wheel a minute."
An American property developer arrives on a Caribean island with plans to develop a resort. What he finds are tales of voodoo and zombies rising from their graves.
A film that falls between a number of stools being a porno zombie horror, and doesn't satisfy as either.

emmanuelle and the last cannibals (1977)

aka Trap Them and Kill Them, Emanuelle's Amazon Adventure, Emanuelle Ende Laaiste Cannibalen, Emanuelle Pa Safari, Emanuelle E Gli Ultimi Cannibal, Nackt Unter Kannibalen.
Joe D'Amato introduces us to the intrepid reporter Emmanuelle as she tries to track down a lost tribe of cannibals. Stopping only to have sex at opportune moments. This is basically a soft-core porno with some added gore when they eventually stumble on the tribe. But if you want to see what it would look like to rip a body literally in half, then take a look.
