A complex plot, but one featuring lots of action.

sadomania (1981)

aka Hellhole Sadomania - Hölle der Lust.
"Let's be adventurous and see what mysteries lie ahead." A young couple on their honeymoon stumble on the Hacienda Blanca, a prison run by Magda Urtado (Ajita Wilson). A prison where women are made to work topless in the hot sun.
Basic plot that allows for much softcore fumbling.

aka Tendre et perverse Emanuelle.
"You are the most adorable bitch I know."
psychiatrist Michel Dreville (Jack Taylor) becomes the suspect in a former lover's murder, and has to try and clear his name by finding the real killer of Emmanuelle (Alice Arno), whilst trying to contend with the attention of Greta (Lina Romay), another lover.
A murder mystery, featuring an early outing for Lina Romay, tacked onto the Emanuelle genre, and lacking one vital ingredient, a plot!

swedish nympho slaves (1977)

aka Die Sklavinnen.
"Kiss me."
A father, Amos Radeck (Vítor Mendes) searches for his kidnapped daughter Martine (Martine Stedl), who has been taken as a sex toy for Madame Arminda (Lina Romay).
Much nudity, and little plot.

The dying days of WWII and, a group of female prisoners are sent to Camp 5. Some are sent to the brothel, and the rest to the camp doctors for experimentation, both sets of women are brutalised and a small group decide their only chance of survival is to try and escape.
Cheap, nasty and badly made!

the boob tube (1975)

aka Soap.
"I have a big load to unpack."
Young psychiatrist Henry Carstairs (John Tremaine) moves into an apartment building and finds himself surrounded by lonely, sex starved women.
Expect sex-related double entendres, intentionally over the top acting, and unfortunately an under performing script.

three on a meathook (1973)

aka 3 on a Meathook!
"Recon you could stay with me and Pa."
Farm boy, Billy (James Carroll Pickett) has a protective father (Charles Kissinger) who doesn't like him mixing with women, intimating that Billy has issues around girls. And sure enough when four women are stranded and offered a bed for the night, they end up dead. But Billy remembers nothing of the attacks. Then Billy meets Sherry (Sherry Steiner), and against his fathers wishes brings her back to stay...
Another Ed Gein based film; one that skipped under the radar of most. It tries to establish character which affects the pacing of an otherwise interesting thriller.

the red nights of the gestapo (1977)

aka Le lunghe notti della Gestapo.
"There are still enemies within..."
WWII and a group of German businessmen who are known to dislike the Führer, are brought together by Colonel Von Uhland (Ezio Miani). His task is to find out what they are up to, believing they plot to overthrow the Reich. To do so Von Uhland pairs each man with a beautiful woman to seduce them and unveil their plans! Obvious really!
A story that gives plenty of room for sleaze, though it tempers such moments with plenty of talk.

the vengeance of fu manchu (1967)

"Let the judgement begin."
Evil mastermind Fu Manchu (Christopher Lee) plots revenge on his nemisis Inspector Nayland Smith (Douglas Wilmer) of Scotland Yard, planning to discredit and murder him.
scant script and rudimentary direction make for a less than thrilling adventure.

deadlier than the male (1967)

"You always did have the morals of an alley cat"
British agent Bulldog Drummond (Richard Johnson) is assigned to stop a master criminal who uses beautiful women to do his killings, including Irma Eckman (Elke Sommer).
Episodic, but decent attempt at a Bondesque spy thriller.

"Don't forget to take the plates."
The heat is on for a gang of crooks, and their boss decides to hide out on a Cornish island. Unfortunately once there they find they have to live as monks in order to fool the local plod.
The cream of British comedy talent, (including Ronald Fraser, Barbara Windsor & Bernard Cribbins), are brought together to flesh out this slightest of stories.

the million eyes of sumuru (1967)

aka The Million Eyes of Su-Muru.
"We have but one weakness that needs to be routed out and destroyed, Love."
The beautiful but evil Sumuru (Shirley Eaton) plans world domination with her all female army. Agents Nick West (George Nader) and Tommy Carter (Frankie Avalon) are sent to an Oriental country to help President Boong (Klaus Kinski), and stumble in on the plot to replace him.
A film with all the right ingredients, but just mixes them up wrongly.

Attempting to get her husband released, Fabienne bumps into Andrej (Kirk Douglas), who is posing as a hotel waiter, he offers her a drink, and next thing, she's herself waking up on a flight back to Britain...confused, but determined to get her husband back.
Unfortunately this is a comedy with a distinct lack of laughs.

"What's the matter? Never seen blood before?"
A British agent Dennis Parbury (Mark Burns) is sent to a Mediterranean island to undercover who is controlling the dope smuggling, but finds himself framed for murder, and has to divert his attentions into trying to clear his name.
Exotic location, stylish women, and a swinging 60's soundtrack, unfortunately none of these can divert from the stilted story.

aka Agente S 03: Operazione Atlantide.
"You are the only man who can save us."
George Steele (John Ericson) is en route to Japan for a well earned holiday, but as an American agent, his lot is not a happy one, and he is diverted and given a mission to uncover a city full of Uranium.
Mildly diverting spy flick, with the usual mix of dames, booze and espionage, but with added sci-fi elements.

aka Missione speciale Lady Chaplin. Operation Lady Chaplin.
"Now you can go, police dog."
Dick Malloy (Ken Clark) is an American secret agent who is brought in to find out what happened when an American atomic submarine is sunk. But Malloy is suspicious of Zoltan and tracks him to Spain. But what does Parisian fashion designer Lady Chaplin (Daniela Bianchi) have to do with the case?
Undemanding spy flick, that lacks a really bad mastermind.

Philip Scott (Stephen Boyd), heads a successful toy company, with a sideline as boss of a British spy unit. But then his cover is blown, and enemy agents kidnap his new love interest(Camilla Sparv) to pressurise him into revealing the identities of his team of operatives.
Breezy spy thriller, all be it one that proves unsophisticated, and uninvolving.

There he finds Nicole (Carroll Baker), scared of her boyfriend Klaus (Horst Frank), and the couple soon begin an affair, but all is not what it seems.
An Italian take on 'Diaboliques', that proves entertaining, but not much more.

fräulein kitty (1977)

aka Fräulein Devil. Captive Women 4. Elsa Fräulein SS.
"We shall make them talk."
The Third Reich plans to reward its officers by sending a "Pleasure Train" through Europe, staffed by beautiful prostitutes. Run by Elsa (Malisa Longo), a Nazi and former hooker, with a thing for S&M, and a determination to weed out traitors to the cause.
An unusually tame Naziploitation flick, that concentrates on the nudity and sex.

the vulture (1966)

"Leave strange happenings alone."
Atomic researcher Eric Lutens (Robert Hutton) is holidaying in Cornwall, with his wife Trudy (Diane Clair), whose ancestors are from the region. But his rest is spoilt when strange events start to happen, and stories of a vulture like creature abound. Stories that Prof. Koniglich (Akim Tamiroff) seems interested in.
Creature feature that lacks a monster, and entertainment value.

deported women of the ss special section (1976)

aka Le deportate della sezione speciale SS. Deported Women. SS Special Section Women.
"You'll become a camp whore just like all the rest."
Women from a variety of Nazi occupied countries are brought to a prison camp, where the sadistic commandant uses them to reward his troops.
Routine Italian exploitation; nudity, violence and depravity all feature.

"Submit."
Rene (Udo Kier) takes O (Corinne Cléry) to an isolated manor and submits her to a variety of sexual perversions to make her submit to him, sharing O with several men before he gives O to his older step-brother (Anthony Steel).
Well shot, but uninvolving and slow story.

the inconfessable orgies of emmanuelle (1982)

aka Las orgías inconfesables de Emmanuelle. Emmanuelle Exposed.
"I wouldn't marry her that's for sure."
The torrid sex and emotional life of Emmanuelle (Muriel Montossé) continues, as she and her husband (Antonio Mayans) party and bicker on the Spanish island of Mallorca.
Not great as a film, never mind a sex film, and in typical exploitation fashion, there are no orgies in sight!

salò, or the 120 days of sodom (1975)

"All's good if it's excessive."
Sixteen perfect boys and girls are rounded up by a group of fascist's, in Mussolini's Republic of Salò. They are taken to a mansion and brutally subjected to four months of physical, mental and sexual torture, for the pleasure of three degenerate leaders and a bishop.
Pasolini uses Dante and the Marquis De Sade to explore the human condition, its ability to inflict pain and suffering, and the debasement that is fascism, through the medium of exploitation cinema.
