"earth, our planet, our home is now just a burnt out sterile slag in space." A team of scientists accidentally open a portal in time, and find themselves 127 years in the future, trapped. They find the Earth now to be a wasteland full of mutants. Fortunately they are rescued by a group of scientists who are trying to escape to a new planet by building a spacecraft.
