let's kill uncle (1966)

"I see that you've been teaching Chrissie the game.
A millionaire dies, leaving his money to his 12 year old son Barnaby (Pat Cardi). He's subsequently shipped off to live with his only living relative, Uncle Kevin (Nigel Green). But uncle Kevin is soon trying to kill Barnaby. With the adults not believing him, that leaves teenager Chrissie (Mary Badham) as Barnaby's only hope.
Starts slowly, but it livens up half way though when Nigel Green turns up as the WWII hero who treats his attempts to kill Barnaby as an exciting game. Comes across as a black and twisted saturday morning adventure.

house on haunted hill (1959)

"Darling, the only ghoul in the house is you!"
Millionaire Fredrick Loren (Vincent Price) and his estranged wife Annabelle (Carol Ohmart), invite five people to stay overnight at a haunted house, for a party with a difference. Each guest has been offered $10,000 if they spend a night in house. Each is desperate for the money and determined to see the night through, but will they be able to last out?
Castle throws everything but the kitchen sink at this in his attempt to give the viewer some thrills. A great little horror that hurtles along, giving the viewer little time to take stock. A classic and prime example of how to use atmosphere to ramp up the chills.

strait-jacket (1964)

Joan Crawford perfects her psycho act in this William Castle horror. Being a Castle film when the film opened, moviegoers were given little cardboard axes. This is the only time you will see the Columbia picture logo with a decapitated Torch Lady, her severed head resting at her feet, her torch extinguished.
