At first they work together, but soon fractures appear when Jack (Tom Chapin) the leader of the hunters goes feral. As Ralph (James Aubrey) tries to maintain a semblance of civilisation and order, all around him dissolves into savagery.
Fine version of William Golding's book, made grittier by the use of black and white cinematography, and much improvisation from the cast.
