godzilla (1998)
"We...need...bigger...guns."
Following some French nuclear tests in the pacific a lizard becomes irradiated, grows abnormally large and sets off to wreak havoc on New York City. Trying to find and nulify the beast is Dr. Niko Tatopoulos (Matthew Broderick), a tv journalist, Audrey Timmonds (Maria Pitillo), and her cameraman, 'Animal' Palotti (Hank Azaria), and some mysterious Frenchmen, including Philippe Roache (Jean Reno).
This was nominated for five Razzies, and won for Worst Remake, and Worst Supporting Actress. It's not as bad as all that, its big, its brash, loud, and entertaining in a summer blockbuster way, just not as entertaining as its original Japanese cousin.
