Kenny (Guy Davis), an aspiring DJ, from the South Bronx, and his best friend, a promoter, try to get into show business by exposing people to hip-hop music and culture. Their dreams look like coming true when they meet Tracy (Rae Dawn Chong), from uptown who is a composer and choreographer.
Woeful lets put on a show right here film, but it excells in being a fantastic time-capsule of life in the Bronx in the early 80s, especially the area's hip-hop culture of the time.
