the lash (1934)

"He's becoming an absolute bounder."
Waster Arthur Haughton (John Mills) has the good fortune of a millionaire father (Lyn Harding) who gives in to his every whim, but the lad comes a croppers when he triffles with one of his staff, Mary (Peggy Blythe), and is forced to marry her. Arthur is determined to keep this event secret and his business partner Alec (Leslie Perrins) is determined to use this as leverage, but then Mary turns up at the father's house.
Underwhelming, and only of interest for John Mills playing against type as a workshy fop.
