Fabienne (Marlène Jobert), marries John Fenton (Patrick Mower), after whirlwind romance, and honeymoon in Rumania, but whilst there John is arrested by the secret police. Attempting to get her husband released, Fabienne bumps into Andrej (Kirk Douglas), who is posing as a hotel waiter, he offers her a drink, and next thing, she's herself waking up on a flight back to Britain...confused, but determined to get her husband back.
Unfortunately this is a comedy with a distinct lack of laughs.
