"You know what I would give to live outside the Casbah, like you do?"Pepe (Tony Martin) is a thief, living in an Algiers Casbah, and out of reach of the law. Unfortunately he becomes obsessed with Gaby (Märta Torén), a French tourist, much to the annoyance of Inez (Yvonne De Carlo), his girlfriend. Worse, when Detective Slimane (Peter Lorre) learns of Pepe's infatuation with Gaby, he hatches a plan to lure Pepe out of the Casbah, and into his clutches.
Life, love, treachery, all is here, oh and some musical numbers to slow the pace down, and get in the way of the drama.
