Philippe Darvas (Christopher Lee) runs a grand guignol theatre in Paris, where police surgeon Charles Marquis (Julian Glover) hangs out, infatuated with actress Dani Gireaux (Lelia Goldoni). When a serial killer who starts leaving a trail of bloodless corpses about the place, Marquis begins to suspect Darvis, especially when he goes missing. Could Darvis be a vampire or a Dorian Grey like character?
A less than satisfying murder mystery, as one can see the possibilities that are often missed to make a decent scare flick.
