confessions of a pop performer (1970)

aka Timothy Lea's Confessions of a Pop Performer.
"When the cats away, the mice will play."
Timmy Lea (Robin Askwith) is a klutzy window cleaner, who becomes the drummer for the band Kipper when his brother in law (Antony Booth) decides to manage them. As usual this leads to lots of adventures, that either end in him bedding a nubile young thing, or catastrophe, but usually both!
Another in a long line of British films from the 70's which provided some lame comedy, and lots of lechery.

killer joe (2011)

"Nothing's worse than regret."
When trailer trash loser Chris (Emile Hirsch) gets into debt to some heavies, he thinks of a plan to get him out of it. Having been told his estranged mother has a life insurance policy that pays out to his sister Dotty (Juno Temple), he calls in Joe (Matthew McConaughey), a policeman with a sideline in murder.
I'll never look at a piece of fried chicken in the same way again!

eugenie: the story of her journey into perversion (1970)

aka Marquis de Sade's 'Philosophy in the Boudoir'. Philosophy in the Boudoir. Eugénie. The Story of Her Journey Into Perversion.
"Cruelty is...natural."
Eugenie (Marie Liljedahl), a shy young girl, is invited to visit the island home of a brother and sister (Jack Taylor and Maria Rohm). There she happens upon a book by the Marquis De Sade, and is soon embarking on a journey into sexual exploration.
Well it doesn't take much to get this 'shy' young girl to shed her inhibitions, in this easy listening softcore. Features Christopher Lee in the role of narrator to this torrid tale. appearance by Christopher Lee.

manhattan love suicides (1985)

"Let's go see it."
A couple wander Manhatten, followed by a demented man and find neither love, nor suicide.
See a man gurning, see an audience bored!

wild world Of lydia lunch (1983)

"they are all in the same boat, and its fucking sinking!"
Zedd follows Lydia Lunch as she reads from her diaries, and wanders around London, then Ireland, smoking and looking glum.
If it were not for the soundtrack, this would go nowhere.

the bay (2012)

"This everyone is parasite larva."
Jaquelin (Nansi Aluka) is a journalism student, who is given the opportunity to report for a local TV station on a Chesapeake bay town's 4th of July celebrations. But the festivities stop being fun when there is an outbreak of what seems like a water-borne virus, that quickly develops to envelop the town...
Eco-horror, using the found footage route to story telling. Well made, subtly developing the sense of unease that comes when things are out of your control.

the right side of my brain (1985)

"Again and again, almost like a recurring nightmare..."
In which Lydia Lunch intones over post punk beats, whilst Henry Rollins plays the neanderthal man...
Black and white short that explores relationships in the way only the cinema of transgression can do.

confessions from a holiday camp (1977)

aka Timothy Lea's Confessions From A Holiday Camp.
"Not very inspired is it Nogget!"
Sid (Antony Booth) is entertainment's officer at a holiday camp and again enrolls his brother in law Timmy Lea (Robin Askwith) to help, or rather hinder his plans.
Last of the adventures of the hapless Lothario, that is as low on quality as it was low on budget.

headtwist (1986)

"I was beside myself."
Watch Lydia Lunch and various participants in the cinema of transgression moan and groan their way through a post punk soundtrack to no great import.
