chase a crooked shadow (1958)

aka Sleep No More. The Prescott Affair.
"if you want to play games, lets play games."
Heiress Kimberley Prescott (Anne Baxter) has her world turned upside down when a man arrives stating he is her brother (Richard Todd). The brother she identified as dead a year earlier. In turmoil she calls the police, but the detective (Herbert Lom) declares all his papers are in order, and this man is her brother, but who is the man claiming to be Ward, and why has he turned up now?
Well executed mystery thriller with a twist.

the monkey's paw (1948)

The Trelawne family, buy a monkey's paw from a passing as it is said to grant three wishes, but these wishes can come at a cost...
Slow to start, this tale based on the classic story, finally comes to life in the last twenty minutes.

bloody new year (1987)

aka Horror Hotel.
"What's going on, it's only July." Six shipwrecked teenagers stumble on an empty hotel decorated for A New Years party. Being cold and wet, they think little of it and set about drying off. Then a kindly maid arrives and announces that they will all be taken care of...
Disjointed and very cheap horror, that has very few chills to redeem it.

fiancee of dracula (2002)

aka La fiancée de Dracula.
"The time of the skull clock is upon us."
The Professor (Jacques Orth) and his assistant are trying to track down Dracula, and feel that following isabele (Cyrille Iste), may be able to lead them to her 'master'.
Lacks a coherent narrative, almost made up for with some startling imagery and atmospere. Almost!

belgica (2016)

"Welcome to your favourite place for depravity."
Brothers, Jo (Stef Aerts) & Frank (Tom Vermeir) are brought together to create a nightclub in a small Belgium town, but the demands it makes of them look to drive them apart...
The great exuberance of the parties are countered by the depression involved in the subsequent hangovers, all soundtracked by Soulwax.

iron wolf (2013)

A rock star decides to base his reformation rehearsals in an old Nazi labouratory, which unknown to him and his crew is still home to their last experiment, and they are soon being stalked by it...
Truely aweful Nazispoitation, with no redeeming features.
