the adventures of tin tin (2011)

"How's your thirst for adventure?"
Tin Tin (Jamie Bell) gets involved int finding Red Rackham's treasure. The lost treasure of an infamous 17th Century pirate. But he is not the only person on the trail.
A live action film, with computer generated performance capture, which makes the film a composite, which replicates the comics, but also puts everything at a distance from the characters and the story.

dead and gone (2008)

"Do the best deal you can."
Jack (Quentin Jones) moves with his comatose wife, to a remote cottage in the backwoods, but soon the remoteness and the knowledge that the cabin was the site of a grizzly murder starts to work on his sanity.
Odd film that fails in part due to the slim back story, the unsympathetic character of Jack, and the complete lack of scares or suspense! The only interest is to play spot the cameo.

Colossus and the amazon queen (1960)

aka La regina delle Amazzon. Colossus and the Amazons.
"Don't forget I was the one who thought up the Trojan horse."
The quick-witted Pirro (Rod Taylor) is tricked along with his friend Glauco (Ed Fury), the strongest of the Greeks, into sailing to an unexplored land. Unfortunately for them, they find themselves sold to the Amazons, and have to figure out a way to get out of their clutches.
Lame buddy comedy adventure, that otherwise hits all the marks for this genre, muscle man hero, not quite beautiful women, and ubiquitous but quite unnecessary dance routine.

resident evil: extinction (2007)

aka Resident Evil 3: Extinction.
"Take a sample of her blood, and then get rid of that."
Alice (Milla Jovovich) journeys the baron countryside battling zombies, the result of the Raccoon City catastrophe. She then hooks up with some other survivors as they attempt to cross the Nevada desert, in the hope of reaching Alaska, and avoid the evil Umbrella Corp.
Effectively done sequel, though there is just something missing.

zoltan, hound of dracula (1978)

aka Dracula's Dog.
"Come Zoltan we must find our new master."
Unearthed by some Rumanian soldiers, Zoltan finds himself undead in the modern day, with only Veidt (Reggie Nalder), Dracula's servant for company. What's a dog to do? With no master, Zoltan seeks out Dracula's last remaining relative (Michael Pataki), who happens to live in the USA, all the while chased by a Rumanian vampire hunter Inspector Branco, (Jose Ferrer).
Cheesy fun, if you can get past the interminable staring competitions that the dog and servant entertain themselves with!

attack from space (1965)

aka Super Giant Vs the Satellites.
"I've come from the Emerald planet to save earth and ensure peace for all time."
an evil alien race called the Spherions are travelling the galaxies invading planets, the next on their list is Earth. The Emerald planet learn of their intentions and send superhero Starman (Ken Utsui) to prevent it.
Again an American production company combine a couple of Super Giant films, into one camp B-movie escapade.

who saw her die? (1972)

aka Chi l'ha vista morire?
"I'm falling apart."
When Franco's (George Lazenby) daughter is murdered by a possible serial killer, he naturally sets out to find them, a journey takes him to the edge sanity.
Beautifully shot, and utilizing a fine soundtrack, (by Ennio Morricone), this should put you in yellow heaven if you are partial to Italian crime drama's.
