Prisoners of the Lost Universe (1983)

"I must be dreaming this, or I'm dead!"
Three people, Carrie (Kay Lenz), Dan (Richard Hatch) and Dr. Hartmann (Kenneth Hendel) are transported into a parallel universe. A world that appears to be prehistoric and have to battle with tribes of savage cavemen, and warlord Kleel (John Saxon), as they try and figure out a way back home.
Low budget sci-fi that runs the gamut of adventure movie cliche's which just about makes it enjoyable in a cheesy way.

zombie apocalypse (2011)

"I want to be anywhere but here."
America has been overtaken by a virus, turning most people into zombies, but some survive, and one band of warriors (including Ving Rhames) is struggling to reach the island of Catalina, which is supposedly zombie free. Can they reach the island safely, and is it the sanctuary they seek?
Another poorly produced Sci-fi channel movie, full of annoying inconsistencies, and bad special effects.

italian spiderman (2007)

"Nice going."
An asteroid falls to Earth, and professor Bernardi (Carmine Russo) experiments on it, discovering it to be able to duplicate any living thing. He quickly entrusts it to Italian Spiderman (Franco Franchetti), hoping he can prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. Those hands being Captain Maximum (Leombruno Tosca), who has some pretty evil plans for the rock.
A well produced, though surprisingly violent, parody of those Italian/Turkish sci-fi films made in the 60's/70's.

phantasm III lord of the dead (1994)

"It's time now boy."
The spheres are back, as Reggie (Reggie Bannister) teams up with a young boy Tim (Kevin Connors) and the fiesty Rocky (Gloria Lynne Henry) to fight the mysterious Tall Man (Angus Scrimm).
Added humour gives this third outing a renewing spark, making for a mildly diverting sequel.

black fist (1974)

aka Bogard. The Black Streetfighter.
"There's a black lion walking in your jungle."
Young buck Leroy Fisk (Richard Lawson) is in need of some money, and to make it he agrees to become part of a gangster's (Robert Burr) stable of streetfighters.
A below average blacksploitation, lifted by the central performance of Lawson, making the film almost enjoyable.

the mothman prophecies (2002)

"What did you see?"
Journalist John Klein (Richard Gere) has his life turned upside down when his wife is diagnosed with cancer and rapidly dies. Throwing himself back into work one night he finds himself stranded, miles from where he was meant to be in the town of Point Pleasant. After a run in with a local who swears blind John has been stalking him, John decides to investigate and teams up with the local sheriff (Laura Linney).
Suspenseful horror, that slowly draws you in, but then takes to long to get to the payoff.
